Frequently Asked Questions

  • Parkes Ready Mixed Concrete services Parkes and surrounding areas, supplying ready-mixed concrete and related services for residential, commercial and civil projects.

For projects outside our usual service area, get in touch with our team to discuss the location and requirements of your job.

  • We supply ready-mixed concrete for a wide range of applications, from everyday residential work through to demanding commercial and civil projects.

Our range includes standard concrete mixes, high-strength concrete and exposed aggregate, with mixes selected to suit the requirements of each project.

If you’re unsure what you need, talk to our team about the job and we can help you determine the appropriate option.

  • The amount of concrete you’ll need depends on the length, width and depth of the area being poured.

It’s important to calculate this accurately and allow appropriately for the project rather than simply guessing. If you’re unsure, give our team your measurements and project details and we can help you work through your requirements.

  • Absolutely. We work with everyone from homeowners and local trades through to builders and major contractors.

For smaller orders and sites with limited access, we also have two Mini Mix trucks, each capable of carrying up to 3.0m³ of concrete.

They’re a great option for smaller slabs, footings, pathways, landscaping and other lower-volume jobs where sending a full-size agitator isn’t practical.

  • In many cases, yes.

Our fleet includes different-sized concrete agitators, including our 3.0m³ Mini Mix trucks, which provide greater manoeuvrability for smaller or restricted-access sites.

For areas that can’t be reached directly by an agitator, concrete pumping or boom pump hire may also provide a solution.

The best approach depends on your site, so speak with us before the pour and we can discuss access.

  • Yes. Parkes Ready Mixed Concrete provides concrete pumping services to make placement faster and more efficient where concrete cannot be discharged directly from the truck.

Pumping can be particularly useful for slabs, foundations, commercial projects and sites where access between the agitator and pour location is limited.

  • Yes. Our truck-mounted concrete boom pump provides controlled concrete placement across larger areas and into locations that can be difficult to access using conventional methods.

It’s particularly well suited to larger slabs, commercial and civil works and complex pours requiring additional reach.

Contact us with your project details and we can discuss whether boom pumping is appropriate for your job.

  • Talk to our team about your project and boom pump requirements. We can discuss availability, site access, the nature of the pour and the equipment required.

For larger or more complex pours, planning this ahead of time helps us coordinate the right equipment and keep the pour running efficiently.

  • Yes. PRMC has the fleet, equipment and capability to support residential, commercial and civil concrete projects, from everyday local jobs through to major concrete pours and infrastructure works.

Our fleet includes full-size concrete agitators, compact agitators, Mini Mix trucks, bulk haulage equipment and concrete pumping capability.

  • Yes. We can supply high-strength concrete for projects where increased structural performance is required.

The appropriate concrete specification will depend on the engineering and project requirements, so we recommend providing the relevant plans or specifications when ordering.

  • Yes. Exposed aggregate concrete is available for projects where the finished concrete is intended to become a visual feature as well as a functional surface.

It can be a great choice for areas such as driveways, pathways and outdoor spaces. Speak with our team about the options available for your project.

  • Yes. We manufacture a range of concrete blocks suitable for practical, structural and feature applications.

Options include retaining wall blocks, rock-lined blocks, feature blocks and blocks incorporating custom logos or branding.

Contact us to discuss the type, quantity and finish you’re looking for.

  • Yes. Custom-logo concrete blocks are available, allowing branding, names or other custom details to be incorporated into the block.

They can be particularly effective for commercial developments, councils, public spaces and branded projects.

  • Yes. Our concrete block range includes retaining wall blocks and rock-lined options, providing a durable solution while allowing different finished appearances depending on the project.

  • We recommend booking as early as you reasonably can, particularly for larger pours or jobs requiring concrete pumping or specialised equipment.

Availability will depend on the size of the order, location, equipment required and our delivery schedule.

If you have a fixed pour date, get in touch early so we can start planning it with you.

  • Having a few key details ready will make the ordering process much easier.  Ideally, tell us:

    • Your project location

    • Type of project

    • Required concrete mix or specification, if known

    • Approximate quantity required

    • Preferred delivery date and time

    • Site and truck access conditions

    • Whether pumping is required

    • Any engineering or project-specific requirements

If you don’t know all of that yet, that’s okay. Tell us what you’re doing and we’ll help you work through what we need to know.

  • This is something worth identifying before delivery.

Depending on the site, we may be able to use a smaller vehicle, such as one of our Mini Mix trucks, or concrete may need to be transferred using pumping equipment.

Talk to us about tight access, steep approaches, overhead obstructions, soft ground or other site restrictions when booking so we can help determine the most practical solution.

  • Our fleet includes a range of vehicles and equipment designed to handle everything from smaller residential deliveries to major commercial and civil work.

That includes 3.0m³ Mini Mix trucks, compact and full-size concrete agitators, heavy-duty haulage equipment and truck-mounted concrete pumping equipment.

Having different options allows us to match the equipment more closely to the size and access requirements of each project.

  • We combine local knowledge and experience with the fleet and capability to take on projects of all sizes.

Whether it’s a small residential delivery or a major commercial or civil pour, our focus is on providing quality concrete, reliable service and practical support to help keep the job moving.

We’ve built our business around servicing the Parkes community and surrounding region — and we understand that when concrete is booked for a particular time, there are often trades, equipment and an entire project relying on what happens next.
